Founded by J.R. Schmitz, with over 45 years in the Amusement and Vending Industry

 

Impact Management Solutions, Inc. (Impact) was founded by J.R. Schmitz.  Forty-five years of experience in the Coin Operated Amusement Industry has provided J.R. with the connections and relationships necessary to establish and maintain a national network.  Throughout the decades, J.R. has gained first-hand knowledge of the amusement and vending business by working in various sectors and building strong alliances with manufacturers, distributors, and other amusement operators all across the country.

J.R. developed a passion for this industry at an early age when he began working for his father at Schmitz Amusements, established in 1931, while he was still in high school.  He went on to purchase the business from his father in 1975, continuing the growth of the company through multiple acquisitions, determination, and a strong work ethic.  With a focus on fostering relationships and aiding the growth of the industry, he served on the WAMO (Wisconsin Amusement & Music Operators) Board of Directors for many years and was the President of WAMO in 1983 and 1984.

In 1988, Pocket Change of America recruited him to serve as their Vice President of Leasing and Operations.  He negotiated leases with the nation’s top shopping malls, assisting Pocket Change to become the 3rd largest arcade company in the country.  J.R. remained with the company through 1999 at which time it was sold to Namco.

With the involvement of other well-known amusement industry veterans, J.R. founded Premier Game Company in 2000.  Premier operated, managed, consulted, and installed arcade and family fun center locations across the nation.  During his tenure as Premier’s president, J.R. established a coast to coast network with some of the top amusement operators throughout the country.

J.R. eventually moved on from Premier to join his son Adam in Arizona to re-establish the Schmitz Amusement name.  This is the 3rd generation of the Schmitz family in the business.  The success of J.R.’s venture with his son ultimately led to the formation of Impact Management Solutions, Inc.  It is this deep-rooted history that allows Impact to provide their customers and partners with the highest level of service and expertise.
